La Poderina is located just south of Montalcino in an area renowned for elegant and balanced fruit. Twenty acres of the estate are dedicated to the cultivation of Sangiovese Grosso for the production of Rosso di Montalcino.

Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks (10 days at 24-26 °C) using selected yeasts at a controlled temperature with frequent pump-overs and two delestages; complete malolactic ­fermentation

Aging Process
Nine months in French oak barriques and 30 hl Slavonian big oak casks, followed by three months of ­bottle refinement

Tasting Notes
Color: Ruby red
Bouquet: Concentrated fruit nose with notes of black cherry and ­raspberry with an undertone of vanilla
Flavor: Full and balanced with a persistent finish
Pairings: Best served with pastas in meat sauce, grilled and roasted red or white meats and moderately aged cheeses
