Tasto di Seta Malvasia Colli Piacentini DOC

The Castello di Luzzano estate has always been one of the leading producers of Malvasia in the Colli Piacentini and therefore its decision in 2004 to produce a still Malvasia, one of great finesse and elegance, came naturally. The wine's characteristics led to the name “Tasto di Seta” (“Touch of Silk”). Its refinement and softness, which indeed give the sensation of silk, derive from the particular characteristics of the soils where the grapes grow and the notable care taken in both vineyard and cellar.

The grapes are hand-picked and then immediately gently pressed. The first-pressed must (around 50% of the total) is separated, lightly clarified and then left to ferment at a low temperature until complete dryness.

Aging Process
The wine is next racked and matures gently on its lees throughout the winter before being bottled in spring. To enjoy its fragrant freshness at its best drink within two years of the vintage.

Color: Bright straw yellow
Bouquet: intense, aromatic, floral nose with hints of acacia, cypress and mint
Flavor: Soft on the characteristically fragrant palate, with excellent length
Pairings: Excellent as an aperitif; well suited to risottos, dishes made using fresh pasta, egg and vegetable dishes, fish, salami and white meats
