The varied microclimates of San Leonardo favored the introduction of international varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, cultivated at the higher elevations, and Merlot, grown in the low lands of the estate. Terre di San Leonardo is a youthful interpretation of the microclimate, a classic Bordeaux style blend, which retraces the terroir path trod by its prestigious sibling San Leonardo, matching its intensity and refined elegance.

Vinification
Grapes are destemmed and softly pressed. Maceration on the skins for 15-18 days. Fermentation in cement tanks

Aging Process
80% aged in large, Slovenian oak barrels for 18 months and 20% in French barriques for at least six months; bottle refined for a minimum of six months

Flavor: Dry, soft and well-balanced with long aromatics
