Arvino Calabria IGT

The Statti family has always played a leading role in the economy of Calabria and has a place in the top brands from the region. Their 1,235 acre property is one of the largest in the region, and the Statti family is giving prominence to indigenous varieties, such as Gaglioppo and Mantonico, which shows a long-term vision.

"Arvino" is synonymous with Gaglioppo. Gaglioppo is the predominant red grape varietal in Calabria. Possibly of Greek origin, it thrives in dry conditions and reaches high sugar levels which result in robust wines.
