This Purato blend is made with certified organic grapes. No artificial fertilizers or pesticides are used in the vineyards. A “sexual confusion” pheromone tactic and limited treatments of copper and sulfur prevent pest damage. In order to preserve valuable water, undersoil irrigation is used to minimize evaporation. Purato’s environmental commitment extends into the winery. Purato uses eco-friendly packaging, made from recycled paper, pure vegetable ink on the labels and 85% recycled glass for the bottle.

Vinification
Grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18° C for 7-10 days. Maceration on the skins for 3-6 hours

Aging Process
Stainless steel tanks for 4 months, plus 1 month in the bottle before the release
