The Scamperle family has cultivated vineyards for generations. Le Salette currently consists of 49 acres in the best areas of the Valpolicella Classico. This wine is named after a nearby town.

Vinification
First phase of fermentation using natural yeasts lasts 30 days in stainless steel tanks; second phase of fermentation takes place on the marc of recioto for 15 days;

Aging Process
70% in 10-25 hl Slavonian botti, 30% aged in French oak barrique (mix of new and used) for 18 months

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep ruby red
Bouquet: Nose of ripe forest berries, leather and tobacco
Flavor: Intense, round and rich balanced by notes of cinnamon, dark chocolate, dried cherries and tobacco resin
Pairings: Perfect with hearty pastas and red meats
