Weingut Allram
Grüner Veltliner Hasel Alte Reben Kamptal Reserve

The name Hasel was bestowed on this vineyard by wine growers many generations ago, after the numerous hazelnut shrubs to be found in the area. The soil is a result of the dry, cold climate of the Ice Age. Due to the effect of glaciers (high pressure), stone such as quartz, limestone, mica and clay particles were pulverized.

These loess soils retain deep reservoirs of moisture. The heart of this vineyard is the Mittelhasel, with a gentle incline to the south. It is here that the strongest, thickest vines thrive - very ripe Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignons, Traminer and Burgunder wines with a harmonious combination of power, richness, distinct full body and elegance.
