Estate Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Only the darkest, most extracted lots from our Estate Vineyards are used in making this wine. The oldest block was planted in 1970 to budwood from Martha’s Vineyard. The second block, 4 acres in size, was planted in 1983. Then in 1991 the Von Strassers planted Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec. TASTING NOTES Perfectly balanced, this favorite is loaded with dark fruit, black cherry, mocha, and caramel. A touch of cedar and vanilla on the velvety mid-palate mingle with live tannins and a hint of violet. Full and velvety in the mouth with a lingering finish. Bright acidity yet gentle tannins, this wine is made for the cellar up to 12 years.
