Montecarlo Rosso DOC

The Montecarlo Rosso DOC appellation, established in 1985, takes its name from the village of Montecarlo in the Province of Lucca. According to the DOC regulation the blend of the Montecarlo Rosso must be composed of 50-75% Sangiovese, 15-40% Canaiolo nero, Merlot or/and Syrah, and 10-30% of other red varietals, such as Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

6 months in concrete vats of 59-98-120 HL. 3 months in the bottle before the release

Tasting Notes
Color: Deep ruby red color
Bouquet: The nose is very fruity with hints of wild red berries and spicy overtones
Flavor: On the palate it is dry, rounded and well-balanced, with a very pleasant fruity finish
Pairings: Ideal with flavorful first dishes, red meat and medium aged cheeses. Perfect with some traditional Tuscan recipes, such as panzanella, lentil soup, Lardo di Colonnata
