“Underbrush, violet, aromatic herb and wild berry aromas appear at the forefront. The light-bodied palate is less expressive, showing dried blackberry and clove alongside dusty tannins.”

“A layered and ripe red with plum and chocolate character. Medium body, soft and velvety tannins and a delicious finish. Just right now.”

“The 2013 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano offers good intensity while retaining a mid-weight sense of structure. Sweet black cherry, plum, tobacco, licorice and rose petal notes are pushed forward. Some of the wine’s initial intensity tapers off on the finish, but that is a relatively small critique for a wine that delivers so much pleasure. Hints of smoke, spice, dried herbs and leather add attractive savory undertones to the dark, muscular finish. I would give the 2013 6-12 months to soften a bit further.” -Antonio Galloni

“A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Mammolo, this offers classic varietal scents of underbrush, wild berry, blue flower, and a whiff of leather. The firm palate delivers dried black cherry, raspberry, white pepper, and anise framed in tightly packed but mature tannins. Drink through 2020.” - Kerin O’Keefe

“Round and rich, with an earthy cast to the cherry, currant, tar and iron flavors, this tips toward the tannins in balance, leaving a chalky feel on the lingering finish. Drink now through 2020. 29,166 cases made.” -Bruce Sanderson
