How do I become a customer with Vias?

To buy wines from Vias in New York and New Jersey, you must have a valid on-premise or off-premise license. To submit an application, click here. You can email info@viaswine.com with any specific questions.

What’s the difference between an importer and a distributor?

As an importer, we select and bring in wines from Italy for what we call the Vias imported portfolio. However, importers cannot sell wines to retailers and restaurants – that’s where distributors come in! In New York and New Jersey, we act as our own distributor, so in those two states we sell the Vias imported portfolio, plus selections of other importers’ portfolios, directly to licensees. In the rest of the United States, we sell the Vias imported portfolio to local distributors, who in turn sell to licensees. That’s why there are slight variations in the Vias offerings from state-to-state.

I don’t have a license; I am an independent person. Can I buy wines from you?

We are a wine importer and distributor, therefore, we can only sell to businesses. If you’ve found one of our wines and love it, we’re happy to help you find it again.
