Veneto At a Glance

Region Name Veneto

Veneto is an important wine region in the northeastern corner of Italy. In terms of geography, culture, and wine styles, it represents a transition between the alpine, Germano-Slavic end of Italy and the warmer, drier, more Roman lands to the south.

  • Score: 88 Vintage NV Vinous Media Exotic spices complicate sweet florals and white strawberries as the NV Extra Dry Rosé Prosecco Millesimato blossoms in the glass. It opens with a lovely inner sweetness and creamy bead of bubbles that usher in ripe orchard fruits. This finishes with hints of candied citrus, leaving the mouth watering for more. • Score: 86 Vintage NV Wine Advocate Showing a pale and delicate pink color, the Acinum NV Rosé Sparkling Wine flaunts a simple and appropriately stripped-down and informal personality. This is a handy little wine for an outdoor aperitivo or a poolside party when the weather is warmest. It shows peach, citrus and cassis with plenty of freshness and soft beading. It should be noted that going forward, this wine will be part of the newly minted Prosecco Rosé appellation, although technically my sample tasted here was not yet labeled as such. The blend is 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Noir. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 83 Vintage NV Wine Spectator A tangy Prosecco rosé, with flavors of candied grapefruit peel, melon rind, smoked almond and dried herbs. Glera and Pinot. Drink now. 5,000 cases made, 1,000 cases imported. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 87 Vintage 2019 Vinous Media White smoke, dusty florals and notes of freshly sliced apple waft up from the 2019 Prosecco Millesimato Rosé Extra Dry. It’s delicate and poised, filling the palate with silky textures and sweet orchard fruits, all neatly offset by brisk acids. Hints of peach and nectarine mingle through the finale, as this cleans up quite nicely. The balance here is admirable, yet the expression is understated to a fault. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
