  • Score: 92 Vintage 2015 Wine Advocate This Vernaccia opens to a saturated off-gold color that hints at the aged aromas you are sure to find in this five-year-old Tuscan white. The La Lastra 2015 Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva gives us confidence in the encouraging aging potential of a wine that is not usually set aside for future drink dates. The bouquet has transitioned away from fresh fruit, offering candied apricot, honey and saffron. The wine shows a very defined mineral component that frames the abundant flavors you get here. This is an unexpected wine, with fresh acidity, to pair with a delicate tandoori chicken. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 92 Vintage 2014 Decanter This 2014 Riserva comes from south- and southwest-facing vines planted in clay-calcareous and sandy soils at 228-280m. Vinified and matured in a combination of stainless steel and barrique, it has a bright, energetic nose and a full-bodied palate offering earthy lemon, lanolin and apricot tones. Ripe and creamy tropical notes sing out on the mid-palate, joined by some white pepper hints and a herbal touch. The juicy, saline finish features some peach and apple. Delicious.
