- Score: 94 Vintage 2020 Decanter Notes of elderberry, hawthorn flowers and musk prelude a tannic, rich and rounded palate. On the finish, an acid-savoury vein gives freshness and balance. A blend of 60% Grechetto, 20% Drupeggio and 20% Malvasia from the oldest estate vineyard (45 years), this is an intriguing white wine, at once archaic and futuristic. Complex and refined. The clay that gives the winery its name and nourishes the vines is also the material in which Giulia Di Cosimo’s most ambitious wine matures. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2019 Wine Enthusiast Fermented and aged in amphora, this wine breaks the mold for Umbrian wines. The nose never rests as aromas of dried mango and papaya waft by as dried lemon, chamomile and crushed chalk notes pop up. The wine shifts gears on the palate as savory herbal flavors shine with roasted peach and pineapple in the background finishing with a grip and mineral edge. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2017 Vinous Media A pretty and nuanced display of peach skins, yellow flowers, incense, raw honey and crushed almonds lifts up from the 2017 Primo d'Anfora. There are depths of silky textures, all complemented by ripe apple and pear, along with exotic inner florals and a stimulating core of acidity that pulls it all together. Hints of ginger linger long under an enriching air of lemon custard. What a fun yet balanced and characterful expression! The Primo d'Anfora is an old-vines selection of 60% Grechetto, 20% Drupeggio and 20% Malvasia that spends nine months refining in 500-liter terra-cotta amphorae. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
