Score: 90Vintage 2021Wine EnthusiastThe nose is tangy almost to the point of astringency, as aromas of hibiscus, cranberry, orange peel and berries gust above an anchoring, metallic earthiness. The palate presents sweeter notes of cherry blossom, orange and milk chocolate, which create a slick, round mouthfeel.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
Score: 88Vintage 2021The Wine Advocate The Bruni 2021 Maremma Toscana Grenache Oltreconfine is very ripe and has lost the sharpness of its bouquet as a result. The wine is sweet, simple and fruit-forward. The 15% alcohol is a lot to take in. Grenache is also called Alicante in this part of Tuscany. Only 3,300 bottles were made. I very much enjoyed the 2020 and 2019 editions of this wine, but the 2021 has evidently absorbed more of the summer heat.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
Score: 94Vintage 2019Wine AdvocateVintners in Maremma have great confidence in the future of Alicante (Grenache) in this hot and sunny stretch of the Tuscan coast. With both names of the grape listed on the front label, the Bruni 2019 Maremma Toscana Alicante Oltreconfine is an outstanding confirmation of that untapped potential. With just 2,500 bottles made, this beautiful wine is delicately sweet and plush with dark cherry, honey-coated almond, hints of spice and scorched earth. It offers balanced freshness, and the flavors remain elegant and fine throughout. Alicante is now part of the DOC.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review

Blackberry and black cherry on the nose of this wine are accompanied by hints of vanilla and toasted coconut. Cola and herbs slowly creep in at the last moment. The palate is more cherries and vanilla, with heat generated from peppery notes and spices elevated by acid.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
Score: 88Vintage 2016Wine EnthusiastDark-skinned berry and Mediterranean brush aromas take center stage. The smooth palate offers dried black cherry, clove and white pepper alongside rounded tannins. Drink though 2022. Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
