- Score: 90 Vintage 2019 Vinous Media The 2019 Bonarda Frizzante Sommossa wafts up dark and rich, mixing savory and sweet with its bouquet of black cherries and plum sauce, complemented by grilled sage and crushed violets. It’s potent and staining to the palate, as a subtle bead of fine bubbles ushers in masses of saturating tart red and black berries, offset by brilliant acidity and hints of sour citrus. For all of its potency, this cleans up remarkably well, leaving a slight staining of primary fruits and balsamic spice that creates a grippy feel through the finale. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
