  • Score: 92 Vintage 2019 Vinous Media The 2019 Frappato Carolina Marengo for Kisa takes its time blossoming in the glass, at first nuanced with sweet violet florals and spice. Over time, notes of ripe strawberry and sweet smoke evolve. There are depths of velvety texture here, creating an impression of pure elegance, as polished red and blue fruits wash effortlessly across the palate. A subtle layer of fine tannins lingers, framing the experience quite nicely, yet not getting in the way of this undeniable beauty of a Frappato. Enjoy the 2019 now or over the next two to three years. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 89 Vintage 2018 Wine Spectator Fine and aromatic, with pretty violet, spice box and graphite accents wafting through flavors of crushed blackberry, bergamot and thyme. It's medium-bodied and fresh, with light tannins defining the finish. Frappato. Drink now through 2023. 2,000 cases made, 500 cases imported. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 91 Vintage 2017 Wine Spectator A skein of woodsy spice and graphite winds through th elush flavours of plumped cherry, dried fig, lilac and star anise in this round, medium bodied red framed by creamy tannis and fresh acidity. Drink now through 2025. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 88 Vintage 2017 James Suckling Dried cherries, walnuts and peach stones with leather and tar make for a ripe, fruit-forward nose. Full-bodied and very rich, but quite drying and overdone, frankly. Drink now. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
