Score: 90Vintage 2019Wine AdvocateAlbeit simple and very youthful, this is an excellent example from the Tuscan city of towers. Made with organically farmed fruit, the La Lastra 2019 Vernaccia di San Gimignano is fresh, sassy and even a touch spicy. You get great value here. The wine shows very sharp aromas of citrus, passion fruit and green papaya. But it's like green papaya with a few sprinkles of Hungarian paprika dusted over the fruit. There are mineral notes and a touch of bitter almond at the back. Sip it alongside a platter of raw oysters with a spicy vinaigrette.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
