These are alberello, or bush-trained, vines on clay limestone soils covering three hectares in this special appellation located in the northern tip of Sicily where sea currents and cross winds make for cool growing conditions. The wine is lean-bodied and punchy in personality with tart berry flavors, crushed flowers and orange essence. If you love lean and fresh red wines, this wine hits the mark.
