  • Score: 92 Vintage 2019 Vinous Media The 2019 Gruner Veltliner is a deep golden color in the glass. Crushed almond, lemon custard and brown spice form its rich bouquet. This is silky-smooth and potent yet with racy acidity to balance. Citrus-tinged orchard fruits give way to sweet inner florals. It finishes long and with a reverberation of tension that stimulates the senses with hints of candied lime. This powerful and intense Gruner may be thrilling to taste today but should also mature beautifully over the medium term. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 91 Vintage 2019 Wine Advocate Showing flinty or ashy notes on first nose, the Strasserhof Alto Adige Valle Isarco Grüner Veltliner opens slowly to reveal delicate primary notes of lemon, honeydew melon and crisp apple. The wine is lean in terms of mouthfeel and shorter compared to the other white grapes cultivated by this excellent winery. However, this Grüner Veltliner is faithful to its varietal personality and to its high-altitude Dolomitic territory. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
