- Score: 91 Vintage 2022 Vinous Media The 2022 Pinot Grigio Dessimis is delicately floral in the glass, boasting a coppery-orange color. Dried apricots, almond paste, peaches and lifting hints of mint form its bouquet. The palate is soft and enveloping, nearly juicy in feel, with ripe orchard fruits balanced by brisk acidity and tactile mineral tones. The 2022 finishes long, staining and lightly structured, with lingering nectarine and spice nuances. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 94 Vintage 2021 The Wine Advocate The 2021 Friuli Isonzo Cuvée Flors di Uis is a beautifully fragrant blend of 55% Malvasia Istriana, 31% Riesling Renano and 14% Friulano that ages on the lees in stainless steel vats before going into bottle. I love the primary intensity and sharpness of this very direct and elegant wine. You get aromas of sweet gardenia flower, crushed stone and light hydrocarbons over a mid-weight, slightly creamy texture. The wine is streamlined with lovely tension and energy. Production is 22,600 bottles. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2021 James Suckling This is aromatic with lemon pith, lychees, jasmine, white pepper and flinty minerality to it. Polished and textural with medium to full body and lively acidity. Sleek and long finish. Drink now. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2021 Vinous Media The 2021 Flors di Uis is as lively and vibrant as a perfect spring day with nuances of freshly squeezed lemons, wildflowers, wet stone and ground ginger. There's a burst of inner sweetness up front, yet this is focused on purity, as mineral and floral perfumes complicate its notes of tropical green melon. Lifted and racy in style, this finishes with a salty flourish and lime zest notes that slowly taper off, revealing an utterly crisp finale. The Flors di Uis is a total charmer, a blend of 57% Malvasia, 35% Rhine Riesling and 8% Friulano. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2020 James Suckling This has a fragrant nose of rose water, lychee, melon and peach. Full-bodied, ripe and dense with an oily texture. Dry and spicy at the end. Intense wine. Malvasia, riesling and friulano. Drink now. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2020 Vinous Media The Flors di Uis is remarkably pretty and lifted in 2020. Exotic florals and sweet spice complement green melon and hints of smoke. This boasts textures like nectar, forward in style yet perfectly balanced with ripe, mineral-tinged apple and pears. There is a seamless yet perfectly poised sensation here, as its zesty acids add verve and leave a pleasant inner sweetness through the finale, contrasted by a twang of sour lime. In 2020, the Flors di Uis is a highly enjoyable expression of contrasts that drive the palate wild. This is a blend of 57% Malvasia, 35% Riesling and 8% Friulano. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 91 Vintage 2020 Wine Spectator A vibrant, light- to medium-bodied white, with lime blossoms, graphite and lemon thyme accenting grapefruit sorbet, lychee and blanched almond notes. - Score: 90 Vintage 2020 Wine Enthusiast This is a fresh bouquet of flowers and a basket of peaches in a glass. Upfront and full of life, the blend of Malvasia Istriana, Friulano and Rhein Riesling lures you deeper and deeper into the glass. The palate is lush with ripe mango, mandarin and apricot flavors that are complemented by more floral, herbal and slight mineral notes. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 94 Vintage 2019 James Suckling This is a fantastic white. Opulent and spicy with so much clove and dried lemon and lime. It’s full and oily, yet solid and energetic at the same time. Goes on for a long time. Malvasia, riesling and friulano. Already fascinating to drink, but will age beautifully. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 91 Vintage 2019 Wine Spectator Fragrant lychee and candied lime zest aromas and flavors leap from the glass of this sleek, expressive white. Racy acidity and a tang of salinity drives the green melon, Thai basil and pickled ginger notes on the mouthwatering finish. Malvasia Istriana, Friulano and Rhine Riesling. - Score: 94 Vintage 2018 Wine Advocate The Vie di Romans 2018 Cuvée Friuli Isonzo Flors di Uis is an assembly of Malvasia, Riesling and Friulano that builds beautiful intensity on both the nose and the palate. Attempting to dissect the bouquet is not easy because there are so many elements to take under consideration, from orchard fruit and ripe apple to custard cream. The protagonist of the blend is Malvasia, and the wine's floral notes of honeysuckle and yellow rose are quite amplified as a result. Thanks to nine months of aging on the lees, the wine is broad, rich and generous to the end. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2018 James Suckling Lovely, perfumed nose of lilies, lime blossom, passion fruit and lychee. More citrus-peel and lightly herbaceous notes on the palate. This is full-bodied and very intense, yet there’s some good acidity. Warm finish. Drink now. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 95 Vintage 2017 Wine Advocate A blend of 57% Malvasia Istriana, 35% Riesling Renano and 8% Friulano, the Vie di Romans 2017 Cuvée Friuli Isonzo Flors di Uis shows a little hint of varietal purity that you can trace back to each of the three grapes used. There are the white flowers of the Malvasia, the lifted citrus or Pomelo notes of the Riesling and the softer peach and stone fruit aromas of the Friulano. These three branches work together in harmony to build the impactful aromatic profile that distinguishes this wine. The Flors di Uis is not as broad or creamy as some of the other monovarietal wines tasted from this producer, however the results are exceptionally clear and balanced. Production is an ample 61,202 bottles, and this wine offers exceptional value. Shelf Talker Full Page Review

- Score: 92 Vintage 2017 Wine and Spirits This cuvée, a blend of malvasia Istriana with smaller portions of riesling and friulano, was the most expressive of the 2017 white wines we tasted from Vie di Romans. Creamy and highly aromatic, it unfolds with scents of white blossoms that lead into clementine flavors, warmed by notes of nutmeg on the finish. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2016 Wine Advocate Slightly lower in price compared to this estate's mono-variety wines, the 2016 Friuli Isonzo Flors di Uis is a blend of 45% Malvasia Istriana, 40% Riesling Renano and 15% Friulano. Production is 23,286 bottles. This unoaked white blend shows a razor-sharp delivery of primary fruit aromas, with zesty freshness and citrusy acidity on the close, followed by white jasmine and honey. The wine shows beautifully in the glass, with a radiant and brilliant appearance. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
- Score: 93 Vintage 2015 Wine Advocate This bottle of 2015 Friuli Isonzo Flors di Uis spells out the full names of all the grapes used in this blend: Malvasia Istriana, Tocai Friulano and Riesling Renano, but really what you pick up here is the Riesling. It's hard to judge the quality of the other varieties as a result. At any rate, this wine is very fleshed out and well aged. It's really incredible what that one extra year of bottle aging has accomplished. It's a very nice vintage that is linear and direct, with floral and citrus scents along with that chemical note that only comes with age. Production is 23,273 bottles. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
