Argillae is located north-west of Orvieto, in the beautiful region of Umbria.
It has been founded in 1993 by Cavaliere del Lavoro Giuseppe Bonollo who made himself into the grappa and spirits business.
Argillae represents his passion for land and nature and his dream for a quality and selective wine production.
The name itself ARGILLAE is the Latin name for clay and expresses the strong linkage between the winery and its terroir mostly made of calcareous-clayey soil: the real essence of Argillae wines.
The vineyards cover an area of 38 hectares in which the composition of the ground, the altitude, the excellent exposure and the careful selection of grapes varieties make it particularly suitable for the production of excellent wines.
