Suhru is one of more than fifty brands produced on Long Island. Unlike long established wine labels, Suhru is unhampered by tradition and winemaker Russell Hearn creates young, innovative and vibrant wines. Influenced by his international experience and two decades of winemaking on Long Island, Russell’s ideas showcase the unique characteristics of New York grapes. At Suhru, we make wine from grapes chosen from select vineyards in regions where the vines and fruit grow best —Riesling and Pinot Grigio from the Finger Lakes region and Gewurztraminer, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot and Petit Verdot grown on the North Fork of Long Island. Applying the winemaker’s artistry, Russell blends different grapes with results greater than the sum of its parts. Made with passion and finesse, the Suhru brand is an eclectic collection of wines.
