Araldica

Overview
Estate
Araldica Castelvero, founded in 1954 in Castel Boglione between Asti and Acqui Terme, is one of Piedmont’s leading wine producers. The cooperative winery represents the historic winegrowing heritage of Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe, and Roero, producing wines deeply connected to the identity of Piemonte.
Climate
The vineyards benefit from a continental climate with warm summers, cool nights, and good ventilation from the surrounding hills. Significant day-night temperature variation allows for slow grape ripening while preserving freshness, aromatic complexity, and structure.
Soil
The soils vary across the production areas of Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe, and Roero, with marl, limestone, clay, and sandy soils that contribute elegance, minerality, and complexity to the wines.
Vineyards
Araldica cultivates approximately 900 hectares of vineyards throughout Piedmont, including Monferrato, Gaviese, Langhe, and Roero. The vineyards are planted with both indigenous and international varieties, including Barbera, Nebbiolo, Cortese, Moscato, Arneis, Chardonnay, and Dolcetto.
Cultivation
The winery follows sustainable viticulture protocols and integrated farming practices certified by SQNPI. Vineyard management focuses on biodiversity, reduced environmental impact, careful parcel selection, and the preservation of soil and vine health.
Winery
Modern winemaking facilities combine advanced technology with deep regional expertise. Araldica produces and distributes a wide portfolio of wines for retail and HoReCa markets worldwide, maintaining a strong focus on varietal expression and consistency.
Family
Founded by Livio Manera in 1954, Araldica remains closely tied to the Manera family. Today, Claudio Manera leads the winery, continuing the cooperative philosophy developed over generations, together with his family and the network of associated growers across Piemonte.
Winemaker
Claudio Manera is a leading figure in Araldica’s winemaking philosophy. Together with a skilled technical team, he has helped drive the international success of Piedmont wines through a style focused on accessibility, quality, and a strong territorial identity.
