  • Score: 94 Vintage 2022 James Suckling A bright and layered wine with aromas of ripe cassis, eucalyptus, intense cedar and balsamic depth. Elegant palate with a medium body, crisp acidity, fine ripe tannins, meaty flavors and good length. Drink or hold. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 93 Vintage 2021 Wine Spectator Pure and elegant, boasting black currant, blackberry, violet and mineral flavors, with oak spice flashes. Expressive and racy, this red is defined by vivid acidity. Dusty tannins linger on the long finish. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2028. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 93 Vintage 2021 James Suckling Deep aromas of currants and berries, with hints of scorched orange peel and chili chocolate. The medium-bodied palate shows focused currants riding firm, medium-grain tannins and leading to a long, flavorful finish. I like the concentration of fruit here. Ever present and ever fresh. Drink now for the freshness, but this should mature well over the next few years. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 93 Vintage 2020 James Suckling Lots of orange peel, blackberry and bramble berry aromas with dark chocolate underneath. Medium-bodied with fresh and vivid fruit. Lovely, balanced citrus acidity. Crisp finish. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Drink now or hold. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 91 Vintage 2019 Wine Advocate This is a blend of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that was first produced in 1992. The Castello del Terriccio 2019 Tassinaia hits a very attractive price point and offers lots of dark fruit concentration and richness along the way. Grilled herb, candied watermelon, tar and spice appear on the nose. The wine travels over the palate with some sharpness, good freshness and overall accessibility. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
