Cantina
Valle Tritana

OVERVIEW

Estate

Cantina Valle Tritana is nestled in the enchanting Tirino Valley in Abruzzo, a land shaped by pristine nature and a long-standing winemaking tradition. Founded on a deep respect for the territory, the winery expresses its identity through authentic wines that reflect the purity of the environment and the character of native grape varieties.

Climate

The Tirino Valley enjoys a unique microclimate shaped by fresh mountain breezes from the Gran Sasso and strong day–night temperature variations. This balance of warmth and altitude preserves acidity, enhances aromatic expression, and allows for a slow, even ripening of the grapes.

Soil

The soils of the Tirino Valley are predominantly alluvial, with a mix of limestone, clay, and sandy components. This composition ensures excellent drainage while providing structure and minerality, giving the wines both elegance and a distinctive sense of place.

Vineyards

The vineyards are cultivated with care and respect for local traditions. The soil is tended, and viticulture may include sustainable practices to preserve biodiversity and maintain soil health.

Cultivation

The main grape varieties grown are Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for red and rosé wines, and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Pecorino, and Passerina for white wines. The grapes are harvested by hand. This step is critical to ensuring the grapes reach optimal ripeness, helping preserve the distinctive aromas and flavors of our valley.

Winery

Founded on a love for the land and winemaking traditions, our winery is committed to producing wines that maintain high quality standards while remaining affordable.
