“A Terre Siciliane IGT blend of 85% Nero d’Avola and 15% Nerello Mascalese, the 2014 Rosso is Cantine Colosi’s entry level red. The bouquet opens to slightly rustic tones of dark fruit with black olive and caper at the back. It presents pretty red fruit with simple lines and an attractive level of concentration that never feels heavy. Served slightly chilled, it could work as a pairing partner to grilled tuna steaks. The Rosso offers terrific value. Some 200,000 bottles are made. ”

“A blend of Nero d’Avola and other Sicilian grapes, this features fruity aromas of dark berry and a whiff of graphite. The savory, straightforward palate offers up ripe black cherry and juicy blackberry, with notes of ground white pepper in the background. Soft tannins provide easy drinking texture.”
