Score: 96Vintage 2023Decanter Savoury edges frame this red fruited beauty with dried notes of mint and lavender, showing a tautness on the palate, with eary season blackberry. From the Eola-Amity site, Koosah, these are younger vines, at 10 years of age at 1100ft, with 40% whole cluster in the winemaking. It has fine edges, with an aromatic hint off sauvage, a kind of forest edginess brought on by pine bough and dried lavender, with wild red berries in its showy aromatics. ‘Brisk and tuned up’ to hear winemaker Jackson Holstein say it. The palate offers loads of savoury crispness, with crunchy red cranberries and early season strawberries mingling alongside a salty mineral spine, with tingly acidity and a lingering lift on the finish. This is a fantastic bottling from the 2023 vintage.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
