  • Score: 90 Vintage 2022 Vinous Media The 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Malandrino opens in the glass with a perfumed blend of sweet herbs and young strawberries. It's round and juicy in character, with wild berry fruits and rosy inner florals. A salty flourish defines the finish, as this tapers off with lasting concentration leaving suggestions of licorice. • Score: 90 Vintage 2022 Vinous Media The 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Malandrino opens slowly in the glass, at first moody with wet stone and underbrush, yet evolving with prettier notes of crushed strawberries and sweet spice. Soft and textural, this washes across the palate with subtly ripe wild berry tones and sour citrus. Its minerality comes through on the finish, crisply refreshing and full of zesty tension. The 2022 is beautiful today but will probably be even better after a short stay in the cellar. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 91 Vintage 2021 Vinous Media Sweet cherries, sage, lavender, rose, crushed rocks… with each tilt of the 2021 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Malandrino, there’s seems to be something new and interesting in the glass. Upon first sip, this is round and fleshy in feel, yet not clunky in any way, as a crunchy mix of red berries settle in under an air of inner floral perfumes. A caking of minerality lingers, as the 2021 tapers off clean yet almost salty. There is so much depth and character here. The Montepulciano Malandrino is vinified 95% white and 5% red, and then blended during fermentation. - Eric Guido Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 90 Vintage 2020 Vinous Media Sour melon combines with sweet smoke, hints of ground ginger and wet stone as the 2020 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Malandrino blossoms in the glass. It’s softly-textured with medium-bodied weight and a lovely inner sweetness, impressing more on its palate presence than definition of fruit. That said, this is decidedly red in nature, more than pink, yet boasts zesty acids that keep the expression lively and fresh throughout the finale. - Eric Guido Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 90 Vintage 2019 Wine Enthusiast Aromas of crushed limestone, red-cherry skin and blood-orange rind make an engaging, fresh start to this pink wine made from organically grown Montepulciano. The medium-bodied palate boasts tart red-berry, orange and herbal spice notes that are wrapped in a gentle tannic frame. Drink through 2021. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 90 Vintage 2018 Wine Enthusiast This shows a concentrated hue of watermelon pink in the glass. Bright tones of fresh cherry and pomegranate meld with an earthy limestone core on the nose and palate. The persistent acidity drives these flavors to a lingering cherry pit finish, giving a rosato that is both bold and balanced. ALEXANDER PEARTREE Shelf Talker Full Page Review
