In the northernmost reaches of Italy, close to the Austrian border, the dramatic landscape is a fitting backdrop to one of the world’s most important wine-producing areas.
Score: 91Vintage 2019Vinous Media“Wow” is the first thought when tilting this glass of 2019 Riesling. Here I’m finding a pungent yet truly alluring bouquet of intense citrus, smoky minerals, wild herbs and crushed granny smith apples. The textures are silky and medium-weight, while also soothing through balanced inner sweetness. Notes of melon, ripe pear and spiced orange resonate throughout, while juicy acids keep the mouth watering. Well done.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
