  • Score: 94 Vintage 2019 James Suckling Wonderful depth here with blackberries, blueberries and iodine, as well as oyster shell. The aromas change all the time. Full-bodied, layered and polished with lovely length. Drink or hold. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 93 Vintage 2019 Vinous A field blend of Malbec with 5% Merlot, planted in 1955 in Mainque, Río Negro, up to 40% of which was fermented in whole bunches. Aged in new and used barrels with no sulfites added until the end. Bright violet in hue, this is a fragrant red with aromas of cherry and red currant and hints of spice, herbs and stalk. Corseted on the palate, it presents gentle but angular tannins that lend depth and character to the fluid feel and the sharp, fruity flavor. The spine is provided by freshness, which stretches out the lengthy finish. The best J. Alberto I’ve had in years. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
  • Score: 91 Vintage 2018 Vinous The nose presents bread and chocolate aromas plus ripe plum, raisins and spice. Slightly liqueurish on the palate, it is full of flavor, fluid and smooth with a terse texture, a juicy feel and delicate freshness. Shelf Talker Full Page Review
