Score: 94Vintage 2021James SucklingA full-bodied red with olives, blackberries, wild blueberries, mussel shells and hints of licorice on the nose. Fresh and creamy, structured too, with a delicious saline minerality and fine, tea-like tannins. Drink or hold.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review

Score: 93Vintage 2019VinousA field blend of Malbec with 5% Merlot, planted in 1955 in Mainque, RÃo Negro, up to 40% of which was fermented in whole bunches. Aged in new and used barrels with no sulfites added until the end. Bright violet in hue, this is a fragrant red with aromas of cherry and red currant and hints of spice, herbs and stalk. Corseted on the palate, it presents gentle but angular tannins that lend depth and character to the fluid feel and the sharp, fruity flavor. The spine is provided by freshness, which stretches out the lengthy finish. The best J. Alberto I’ve had in years.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
