NoseExotic fruit with a pop of lime which dances to a backdrop of fragrant mineral notes of flint. The wine opens to a burst of ocean brine, medicinal herbs, and Mediterranean scrub. green-applelavendermelonpeach
FlavorAt first sip it is direct, fresh and very sapid; the concentration seems to prevail but once it coats the palate it takes on amplitude, body and structure. It is the essence of the oxymoron “rough velvet”. The finish is remarkably persistent, like a wave of the sea overwhelming you with its sapidity and then slowly withdrawing, leaving the scents of its foam in your mouth

Score: 94Vintage 2024Wine EnthusiastTannic, thick-skinned, generously productive, Ansonica is a grape that was long-loved by people who worked the land because it made winemaking easy, even if the wine that resulted from it wasn't always very impressive. When it gets the expert touch, as in this case, it reveals itself to be nothing short of magic. Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
Score: 93Vintage 2024James SucklingA clean and brilliant white with aromas and flavors of sliced limes and honeysuckle, as well as lemons. It’s medium-bodied with linear fruit and verticality and energy at the end. Made and aged in Drunken Turtle amphoras, which are very reductive and give a transparent character. Sustainable. Score: 92Vintage 2024The Wine Advocate Made with Ansonica, the Tua Rita 2024 Keir Bianco undergoes two months of skin maceration and stands as one of the estate’s most distinctive and characterful wines. Fermentation and aging take place using a combination of amphora (just one) and cocciopesto vessels, a reductive material introduced to replace more porous containers. Whole clusters are enclosed in nets and left in contact with the skins throughout maceration, resulting in a wine with firm tannic structure, notable richness and mineral or ferrous elements on the bouquet. Salinity emerges clearly on the finish, and while the wine is mid-weight in texture, it feels compact and silky with a decisive finish. Described by proprietor Stefano Frascolla as a "vino contadino," (or "farmers' wine"), Keir Bianco is unapologetically rustic, authentic and deeply rooted in local tradition.Shelf TalkerFull Page Review
