Acinum

Overview
Estate
Acinum features exquisite wines curated by Fabrizio Pedrolli to showcase Italy’s indigenous grapes in the U.S.
The collection starts with Veneto’s historic regions of Negrar in Valpolicella and Montforte d’Alpone in Soave, highlighting a partnership with Edoardo Montresor’s family and oenologist Enrico Paternoster.
Climate
Valpolicella has a moderate continental climate with local variations, influenced by the Alps to the north and the Po Valley to the south.
Hilly areas tend to have milder winters and cooler summers due to the influence of mountain breezes, whereas plains experience colder winters and hotter summers. Rain increases with elevation.
Soil
Valpolicella’s soil is mainly calcareous, rich in whitish and red marl, such as “Biancone” and “Scaglia Rossa,” with good drainage.
Hilly areas have moderately deep calcareous soils with a skeleton, while plains have looser alluvial soils with more gravel and less limestone.
